Roseanne Barr is the next celeb to be roasted by the folks at Comedy Central. This August, Barr will be the next celebrity roastee that will have her feet held to the fire. The roast will be taped in Los Angeles on August 4th and air later on August 12th at 10pm.

“Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to Roast her,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s head of original programming and production. “Celebrating Roseanne’s unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this Roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through,” he added in a statement.

The network has yet to reveal who will host or what comedians will be on the dais for the roast but we’re thinking some of the usual suspects/returning faves like Jeff Ross, Anthony Jeselnik, and Amy Schumer.

UPDATE: Jane Lynch will serve as Roastmaster for the evening.
